How do I feel after Comenius project?

by Mantas Liagas (Lithuania)

After all this job you put in the project, after all these days you spent with people from other countries, after all the presentations you listened to, after making so many new friends you actually realize that this is not just a project. It’s a lot more. This project actually has a point. The thing I’m trying to say is that Comenius changed my mind about lots of things. It changed me. It changed my whole life. It’s much better now.
I’m from Lithuania. As everywhere people aren’t always very kind here. I do not want to say that nobody is friendly. Often they’re just in a bad mood and that makes them look like that. When you live among such people finally you get used to their temperament. Probably you become one of them.
As we all know people from different countries are different. When I flew to Cyprus for the first time I was really impressed. I was impressed how friendly everyone is. Sometimes it’s even a little bit scary, because you’re just walking down the street and everyone is smiling at you. When I came back home, I said to myself that I want to change something and I need to start from myself.
A couple months ago the Slovaks lived in my family. My whole family had to be tolerant, understanding and respect their habits. It was not easy for all of us. Bu finally, we are friends even if we can’t meet each other.  We found many similarities in our life. We’re reading same books, we’re watching same movies, and we’re having same problems. In my opinion, there should be more projects like this.
After the project I changed myself and now I’m trying to change my life. This project added so much to my life that I want to share the information and experience I have. My family has changed too. I feel like the project has done its job.
